Step 4 · DigiLocker identity verification

Complete the programme verification and review the private returned details.

- Open Verify identity. A connected DigiLocker sign-in alone is not the completed programme check.
- Choose an available provider-approved method: PAN, Aadhaar or Driving licence. Aadhaar remains a voluntary choice; availability depends on the approved service.
- Read the data-sharing notice, select consent if you agree, then choose Continue to DigiLocker ↗. Start a fresh request from this page rather than reusing an old gateway tab.
- Complete the provider’s own sign-in and OTP/PIN steps yourself. Return to Swiss Wine India in the same browser. The programme request now asks the gateway for a fresh sign-in.
- If the result is accepted, review the returned private details and select Confirm my private details. Check your declared date of birth against the returned record.
- Return to the dashboard. A current accepted identity shows a green completed state rather than another verification request.

If something stops the return

| Aadhaar already registered with DigiLocker | Use the original Aadhaar-linked DigiLocker account and official provider recovery. After one fresh Swiss Wine request, escalate a continuing provider loop rather than repeatedly creating/linking another account. |
| Sign-in connected, but identity still incomplete | Continue to the programme’s Verify identity step. Account connection and programme verification are distinct. |
| Name differs / SWI-ID reference | Give the team the reference and your professional-name context. Additional middle names need the governed identity-match review; do not rewrite someone else’s identity or bypass the check. |
| Returned fields are blank | No accepted provider evidence may have been saved. The team checks the native verification result; a CV or self-declaration does not fill verified fields. |
Do not send an Aadhaar/PAN image, full identity number, PIN or OTP to support. Support needs the reference, approximate time, chosen method and what the screen said. The 21+ network check is distinct from event-specific permissions.
